1 What is TBOCWW Board The Telangana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board is constituted by the Telangana Govt. as per the provision of Sec.18 of the Building and Other Construction Workers (RE&CS) Act 1996 for the welfare of the building and other construction workers.

Who is BOC Worker?

A Person who is working as Building & Other Construction Workers in the following 54 categories:
Mason, Plumber/Sanitary Work, Painter, Carpenter, Electrician, Marble/Kadapa Stone Worker, Earth Worker, Helper, Bar Bender, Centering Worker, False Ceilling Worker, Interior Decoration Worker, cooli, Tile Roofing Worker, Landscaping Worker, Sawer, Brick Kiln Worker, Mud Mixing Worker, Glass Worker, Roller Driver, Mosaic Worker/ Polishing Worker, Mixer Driver, Mixer(including Concrete mixer Operator), Tunnel Worker, Rock Breaker, Quarry Worker, Road Worker, Brick Maker, Electricity Substation Worker, Stone Cutter/ Stone Crusher, Head Mazdoor,Road Surfing Worker, Well Drive for removing silt, Caulker, Kalasis / sarang, Worker enagged in processing lime, Worker engaged in anti-sea erosion work, Mechanic, Solar Fencing Worker, Pre-fabricating Structural Worker, Lifts, Escalators Installation workers, Road Laying, Muncipal Drainage Worker, Transmission Line Worker, Construction Site Security Person, Supervisors in Construction Work, Rigger, Watchman,Welder,pump Operator,Well Sinker, Hammer/man, Fitter,Thatcher
3 What is the age group for registration? The worker in the age of 18 years and less than 60 years and has worked for 90 days in the preceding year is eligible to register with board.
4 How to get registered as BOC Worker? The registration fee is Rs. 50/- for one-time membership and Rs.60/- towards 5 years subscription totaling to Rs.110/- shall be paid at any MEESEVA center or by Challan in any SBI Bank branch in the Board S.B. A/c. No.: 62371607136 & IFSC NUMBER : SBIN0020066.
5 How to apply for BOC Card? After paying Rs.110/- as stated above the worker shall submit the prescribed application form XXVII along with the registration fee bank challan or MEESEVA receipt and shall submit to the concerned area Assistant Labour Officer and after due process the Assistant Labour Officer will issue laminated BOC card to the worker.
6 What the various kind of Welfare Schemes? Marriage Gift, Maternity Benefit, Fatal Accident Relief, Disability Relief, Disability aids and appliances, Natural Death Relief, Hospitalization Relief, Funeral Expenses, Relief to the unregistered workers, and Skill Development Vocational training to the dependents, Pension Scheme NPS – Lite 2010 (Swalamban).
7 What is Marriage Gift benefit? Financial Assistant to the Unmarried Women registered Building & Other construction worker and also to the two daughters of the registered building & Other construction workers for an amount of Rs.30,000/-
8 What is Maternity Benefit? Maternity benefit for Women registered building & Other construction worker, Wife of the male registered building & Other construction worker and two daughters of the either male or female registered building & Other construction worker limited to two deliveries each for an amount of Rs.30,000/-
9 What is Fatal Accident Relief? Relief to the nominee / dependents / legal heir of the registered building & Other construction worker who dies on the spot or due to the injuries caused by the accident occurred either in the work place or anywhere else for an amount of Rs.6,00,000/-.

10 What is Disability Relief?

Relief to the registered building & Other construction worker sustaining injuries caused by an accident occurring either in work place or anywhere else resulting in total permanent disability / partial permanent disability (The extent of disability will be decided as per procedure under Employees’ Compensation Act) for an amount of Rs.5,00,000/- upto 4,00,000/-. 11 What is Natural Death Relief? Relief to the nominee / dependents / legal heir of the registered building & Other construction worker in case of natural death for an amount of Rs.5,00,000/- upto 4,00,000/-.
12 What is Hospitalization Relief? Financial assistance @ Rs.200/- per day and maximum Rs.3,000/-per month to the registered building & Other construction worker for hospitalization due to accident or terminal disease for an amount of Rs.3,000/- per month upto 3 Months.
13 What is Funeral Expenses? Expenses for the funeral are provided in case of
1. Fatal accident/Natural Death of Registered workers.
2. Accidental Death of un-registered worker in the course of employment; and
3.Charges for transportation of body of the deceased worker, who died in accident in the course of employment to his native place @ Rs.20/- per K.M. For an amount of Rs.30,000/-
14 What is Relief to the unregistered workers? 1.Fatal Accidental Relief: Death occurred at work-site for an amount of Rs.50,000/-.
2. Disability Relief: 50% and above Partial Permanent Disability to the worker for an amount of Rs.20,000/-. 50% below Partiwal Permanent Disability for an amount of Rs.10,000/-
15 What is Skill Development Training Scheme? Training in safety and hygiene and skill up-gradation for an amount of Rs.7,000/- cost per trainee and 300/- per day per trainee as stipend.
